OverTime Change

On December 1st, 2016, the minimum salary level will rise for employees exempt from overtime under the FLSA. The salary level will increase from $455 per week to $913 per week, or from $23,660 to $47,476 per year. Any employee below this new threshold will be entitled to overtime pay for all hours worked over 40 in one week. The Department of Labor estimates that over 4 million employees will be eligible for overtime pay as a result of this change.

Even though the change does not take effect until December 1st, it is important to plan now.Here are some suggestions of what you should do now to prepare.
